Job description
A central London client seeks a Lead PHP Developer with strong full-stack skills. This role involves hands-on development, technical leadership, architectural oversight, and managing a small team. Responsibilities include setting technical standards, delivering new features, maintaining existing systems, overseeing migration from legacy PHP codebases, and leading new Laravel projects using InertiaJS and Vue 3. The ideal candidate can balance strategy with execution and manage the platform's entire technical lifecycle., * Assume responsibility for the reliability and progressive improvement of legacy PHP systems during platform redevelopment.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into comprehensive technical plans.
- Communicate clearly and confidently during client-facing technical discussions.
- Establish and uphold development standards, code review processes, component structures, and testing methodologies.

Requirements
- Demonstrated commercial experience in developing and maintaining advanced PHP applications.
- In-depth expertise with the Laravel framework (preferably version 11 or later).
- Comprehensive full-stack proficiency, including front-end solutions leveraging Vue 3 and InertiaJS.
- Proven capability in managing and supporting legacy PHP systems.
- Thorough understanding of secure and scalable application architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Lead, mentor, and support development teams across both backend and frontend domains.
- Define the technical roadmap and make architectural decisions to promote long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, and component-based UI development.
- Oversee full-stack implementation using Laravel 12, InertiaJS 2.0, and Vue 3 to ensure consistency and robustness of the application architecture.
