Design Engineer

Burnell Switchgear and Controls are based on the Crossway business park Dartford, specialising in bespoke Electrical solutions within the HV & LV switchgear industry. Steady growth has presented an opportunity within an established team., Producing detailed designs using CAD software to enable production of control panel / switchgear arrangements & products to customer requirements. Collaborate with project engineers to develop control panel / switchgear arrangements & products to customer requirements. Collaborate with project engineers to ensure correct selection of components from suppliers that meet with suitability, availability and budget targets. Producing complete parts lists for project engineers to aid with procurement of materials. Ensuring compliance of designs to current internal and British standards.

Professional qualification(s) in Electrical Engineering. Able to read, interpret and follow engineering drawings. Good communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge and experience of CAD and ePlan desirable. Good knowledge and understanding of relevant standards. Experience in the design of LV Installations. Working knowledge of LV installations. Strong command of the English Language. Desirables:

Experience in the design of HV Installations. Working knowledge of HV installations. Experience in the design of Control and PLC circuits. Work authorisation

Salary 40k per annum / package based on qualifications and relevant experience.
