To strengthen our team in München we are looking for a/an Working Student Machine Learning & Software Engineering (f/m/x)

We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied working student position in the area of Data Science and Machine Learning. Our on-site Analytics team is focused on the analysis and prediction of faults in the BMW vehicle fleet, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. As part of the Data Science Team at BMW R&D, you will collaborate with experts, immerse yourself in cutting-edge technologies, and play a vital role in BMW's digital transformation journey.

What awaits you?

  • You will support using analytics and machine learning methods to address errors in our vehicle fleet.
  • Furthermore, you help to apply traditional and state-of-the-art approaches for data-driven quality improvements.
  • In addition, you contribute to collaboration with experienced analysis experts and other interns.
  • Moreover, you will assist in preparing documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
  • You will support with independent task processing and receive regular feedback from your mentor.

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python, PySpark or SQL.
  • Passion for building outstanding products.
  • Experience with software engineering practices and developing quality software.
  • High motivation, strong problem-solving, communicative and collaborative skills.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: LLMs, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure).
  • German proficiency is a plus.
