(Senior) Cloud Backend Developer for SAP AI Core platform

As a (senior) cloud back-end developer (f/m/d), you will work on a variety of extension, improvement, and green-field tasks across the technical stack of our AI Platform. We expect a strong desire to dive into new areas regularly and drive each of them to completion, initially with the help of a buddy. This will be rewarded by the unique opportunity to learn about many cutting-edge and emerging technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Argo, Machine Learning, Generative AI) and being part of a great, collaborative team. Finally, end-to-end ownership of our services is expected from each of our developers, e.g., contributing to the Site Reliability Engineering processes., The AI Core team is looking for a highly motivated individual to expand the capabilities of our cloud-based AI platform that supports stakeholders to manage classical Machine Learning (ML) as well as Generative AI workloads in production at scale. Our wider AI organization aspires to facilitate the infusion of ML and Generative AI features into every enterprise application, and our team supports this by building common requirements-driven foundational services for internal as well as external customers and partners. • University degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent education/experience with 4 years of relevant working experience
• A solid foundation in the breadth of computer science, with strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, parallelism, object oriented programming
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++
• Experience with technologies at each level of typical back-end software stacks: database systems, docker or Kubernetes, REST, networking, scale-out
• Experience with cloud-based application development, e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP
• CICD and version control tools such as git/github
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken. You bring a "getting things done" mindset. Experience in project management or as a technical lead is beneficial.
