Job description
The Regional Manager will monitor, maintain and support EdgeConneX Data Centers (EDCs) throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. This position reports to the EMEA Sr. Director of Operations and will be expected to work closely with the other Regional Leads, peers, Customers, Customer Installation Project Managers and with contract vendors to accomplish their tasks.
Primary Responsibilities

Support EMEA Director in implementing and managing the Preventive Maintenance program at each of our sites and act as on-site lead for any critical maintenance activities at the EDCs;

Ensure all customer Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements are meet and maintained;

Authonomy to lead a team of highly skilled engineers, 24/7 technicians and (Assistant) Campus Manager(s);

Manage OPerational EXpenditures (OPEX);

Provide input on budgets for operational sites (now and in the future, OPEX and CAPEX);

Work with our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and other systems to ensure they are up to date and have the correct information;

Effectively manage, supervise, and evaluate vendors and subcontractors;

Identifying areas of improvement to our existing facilities, particularly efficiency and PUE;

Conduct routine, ongoing assessment of the Building Monitoring System (BMS);

Ensure compliance with all safety procedures as well as utilization of protective equipment;

Maintain ongoing communication with tenants, owners, property management and vendors;

Travel can be up to 25% of the time.
Requirements

Strong technical knowledge in Power (HV and LV) and Cooling installations in a Data Center or Critical environment;
-
Commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables;

Superb ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities;

Superb ability to meet committed timelines, leveraging assistance/input from peers;

Strong and effective team player in working with various disciplines and peer groups, can cover all gamut of tasks required to 'getting a job done';

A high level of commitment to customer service to both co-workers and clients;

Ability to respond effectively, verbally and in writing, to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints;

Ability to interact effectively with managers, clients, customers and the general public;

Translate company goals/KPI's towards the team and bring the team to the next level., * 10+ years of experience in facility operations or engineering functions;

5+ years of experience in leading teams with 50+ people;

Significant data center operations experience, to include detailed knowledge of Power/Cooling/Generator, Security and Fire/Life Safety systems;

Experience with multiple preventive maintenance cycles for Data Center equipment;
-
Experience with trouble ticketing systems and Method-of-Procedure processes;

Ability to recommend improvements to dispatch and reporting processes and systems used for vendors and subcontractors;

Experience with Change Management and CMMS systems;

Experience in Construction or Real Estate environments a plus

The ability to:

Comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex project documents, including AutoCAD, Visio and PDF documents

Write and evaluate maintenance procedures

Develop installation standards and project tracking/management documents

Education level HBO (University of Applied Science) or WO (University).
