Job description
A leader in the industrial automation industry is looking for an experienced embedded software engineer to join their world-class engineering team, with full training & support to become an expert software engineer. You'll be encouraged to become a specialist in your niche, adding real value to every project. You get to implement your ideas in real products and see the result of your work. Responsibilities as an Embedded Software Engineer:
- Designing and developing software in C++/ C for hard, real-time embedded products as well as products using real-time Linux
- Writing and reviewing requirements for both complete products and software components
- Occasionally lead projects as required, taking on both design and planning responsibility when delegated by a manager
- Perform software tests, including automated and manual tests
- Be a mentor for junior engineers, collaborating with them to plan their work & undertaking code reviews Technical Requirements as an Embedded Software Engineer
Requirements
If you're an embedded software engineer who wants the freedom to take your ideas from the back of a napkin to a real product and have full autonomy & ownership, this could be for you., + BSc or above in an Engineering discipline

Proficient in C++ programming in real-time & Linux environments

Experience working with comms stacks (E.g., TCP/IP, Ethercat)

Experience developing ARM (E.g., NXP/Renesas) microcontrollers Desirable Experience:

Proficiency with multiple languages like Python, C#, .NET, and C

Automotive industry experience
