Job description
As a Senior Data Analyst (all genders), you partner with teams across the company by providing data-driven insights and analytical expertise to inform decisions. You combine strong analytical and technical skills with business understanding and work closely with stakeholders on complex, high-impact questions.
You are part of our central Analytics team, but your day-to-day work happens primarily in close collaboration with other teams. Depending on the situation, you deliver hands-on analyses, enable teams to work effectively with data in a sustainable and scalable way, or lead deeper analytical work where additional focus is required.
What to expect
- Analytics Business Partner: You are the primary analytics counterpart for one or more departments. You translate business questions into analytical approaches, challenge assumptions and KPIs, and deliver clear, decision-oriented insights.
- Data & Modeling Excellence: You collaborate closely with Analytics Engineers to develop and maintain dbt models and ensure a reliable, consistent data foundation.
- Dashboards & KPI Steering: You design dashboards and reports with stakeholders, ensure KPIs are meaningful and correctly implemented, and take ownership of relevant content in Metabase.
- Analytics Initiatives: You contribute to company-wide analytics initiatives such as analytics standards, data operations improvements, self-service enablement, and data education.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, * Background & Experience: 4+ years in data analytics with direct stakeholder responsibility; experience in scale-up, tech, or consulting environments is a plus. Ideally you are an expert in at least one business domain (e.g. Commercial, Operations, Finance, Product) and bring a clear point of view on KPIs and decision-making.
- Technical Skills: Very strong SQL; experience with BI tools, dbt, and Git. Python is a plus.
- Analytical & Communication Strength: Strong analytical thinking, able to structure ambiguity, communicate clearly across audiences, and deliver pragmatic, high-impact insights that are applied in practice.
- Mindset & Collaboration: Proactive, opinionated, and comfortable taking ownership in ambiguous situations; you challenge the status quo and work closely with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and business teams.
- Language: English at C1/C2 level; German is a strong plus.
