Job description

  • Design Execution: Translating validated user needs into clean, functional UI designs, which includes implementing, maintaining, and extending our existing design system to ensure consistency.
  • Discovery & Validation: Championing a discovery-first mindset by constantly questioning assumptions, asking "why" we are building something, and conducting necessary validation to identify and solve the root problem.
  • Agile Collaboration: Working within SAFe and Scrum frameworks to plan, track, and communicate tasks and progress, using tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating closely with developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs align with technical feasibility and business goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • at least 2 years of experience in a comparable environment
  • Fluent English and German skills.
  • Foundational UX/UI: A strong practical understanding of core UX/UI principles, including information architecture, visual hierarchy, consistency, and usability heuristics, to deliver intuitive interfaces.
  • Discovery Mindset: A proven ability to focus on the problem space, prioritize user value, and adapt design processes to accommodate the unique needs of engineering workflows.
  • Domain Context: Demonstrated familiarity with designing for complex, specialized applications - particularly engineering/design tools, such as CAD/3D applications-and a clear understanding of workflows in these highly technical environments.
  • Proficiency in Figma: Skilled in using Figma as the primary design tool for wireframes and UI designs
