Backend/Cloud Application Developer

The candidate will work with our tech stack on existing and new projects in a cloud / backend capacity using a combination of TypeScript, NodeJS, Amazon Web Services, Postgres, Snowflake and testing frameworks such as Cypress & Playwrite

Our Techstack:

Our techstack consists of various parts using Angular, NodeJS (both using TypeScript), Postgres running on AWS utilizing managed services like Lambdas, ECR and Kinesis streams. We have a strong focus on automatizing. We cherry pick the best parts of what we like and are always looking to improve and take advantage of the latest technology and methodologies. If you see a better way let's use it!

Our working methodologies are agile and we organize ourselves using the Product Operating Model. Responsibilities:

• Design, build and implement cloud applications with your knowledge of web/application development concentrating on scalability, flexibility, maintainability, and testability
• Improve and maintain existing processes and tools whilst introducing and contributing to new ideas, protocols and products
• Be part of the decision making and agile process working with internal and external teams
• Be an active part in project-independent efforts to improve the Safety io cloud platform
• Lead in defining and implementing coding standards, best practices, and development processes
• Contribute directly to quarterly OKRs with clear milestones and measurable results

Do you have experience in TypeScript?, What you bring:

• Experience in SaaS products
• Skills that will benefit and are compatible to our tech-stack
• Experience in agile projects
• Understanding and appreciation of application performance, uptime, and fast root-cause analysis
• A "scale engineering" mindset: An ability to write the integration and build pipes to deploy and monitor your code. Commitment to quality
• Fluency in English (our office language is English)
