Job description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer (m/f/x) to take ownership of our infrastructure and drive reliability, scalability, and modernization.
Our platform is AWS-centric (~90%), complemented by 1&1 hosting and a small on-premise bare-metal setup. The role is hands-on, focused on resolving infrastructure issues, applying SRE principles, and evolving toward cloud-native best practices.
Your Tasks:
- Own and improve infrastructure across AWS, hosted, and on-prem environments,
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve stability, performance, and security issues,
- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure architectures,
- Apply SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, incident management, automation etc.),
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code,
- Improve observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) and operational excellence,
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and act as a technical mentor., * Modern office near Berlin central station

Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, * 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and production systems
- Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containers, and Linux
- Deep knowledge of SRE principles and operating reliable distributed systems
- Proven ability to modernize legacy infrastructure pragmatically and safely
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Prometheus/Grafana
- Understanding of cost optimization and security best practices
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Go preferred)
Nice to have:
- Experience with hybrid or on-premise infrastructure,
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.).
