Job description

Our client is seeking experienced Enterprise Architects to work at a strategic level across the organisation, translating business strategy into effective business change and technical delivery. This is a senior role requiring leadership across business, technology, and data domains to enable delivery at pace, reduce risk, and ensure value for money.

You will be responsible for defining and owning the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmaps, while influencing senior stakeholders and supporting delivery across multiple portfolios and programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritise changes required to enable effective and timely delivery
  • Lead and influence the delivery of cross-cutting capabilities that support organisational transformation
  • Own enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmaps across business, technology, and data, including as-is, to-be, and transition states
  • Provide architectural consultation and enable collaboration across business and technical teams
  • Understand the wider organisational ecosystem, including dependencies and reference architectures
  • Take a strategic, enterprise-wide view across architectural domains, portfolios, and programmes
  • Guide business, technology, and data decisions by promoting reuse, sustainability, scalability, and reduced risk
  • Define and maintain architectural principles, policies, and standards
  • Assure alignment between enterprise architecture strategy and delivery through active stakeholder engagement
  • Develop, mentor, and grow the enterprise architecture community
  • Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging industry trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Assess societal, industry, and policy trends and their potential organisational impact
  • Build architectural resilience and coach others in recognising and responding to change

Architecture Communication

  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
  • Facilitate and mediate complex architectural discussions
  • Gain buy-in for high-risk, high-impact architectural initiatives
  • Coach and support others in architecture communication techniques

Enterprise Architecture Leadership

  • Lead the design of architectures covering technology, people, process, and organisational structures
  • Influence beyond organisational boundaries to achieve strategic objectives
  • Ensure organisation-wide change aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, Essential:
  • TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
  • ISEB (Information Systems Examination Board)

Plus one of the following:

  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification
  • IT4IT Certification
  • COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies) Certification
