Software Engineer

Based in North Wales, join a leading European manufacturing organisation renowned for innovative technologies and award-winning operations. As our Software Engineer, you will support and develop OT applications, integrate automation systems, and play a key role in driving smart factory and Industry 4.0 digital transformation initiatives., On a day to day basis, as our Software Engineer, you will : Design, develop, implement, and maintain OT applications and automation systems Configure and deploy SCADA, HMI, and MES systems across production environments Develop automation scripts and PLC logic for industrial control systems Build and integrate custom OT applications using C# and web-based languages/frameworks Commission, test, and validate OT applications on production lines Integrate OT systems with enterprise IT platforms for analytics, reporting, and IT/OT convergence, It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: OT Applications Engineer, Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer, Industrial Software Engineer, SCADA Engineer, MES Engineer, Manufacturing IT/OT environments, PLC & industrial control systems, HMI/SCADA platforms, C# application development, industrial networking (Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP), smart factory and Industry 4.0 technologies, robotics and automated production lines.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: OT Applications Engineer, Software Engineer - Automation, Manufacturing

Proficient in C# for application development and system integration, with database knowledge Knowledge of PLCs Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related discipline Strong experience with SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA,Ethernet/IP) Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines across multiple projects Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
