Senior Fullstack Developer - main focus: anwalt.de

Location: Remote or Nuremberg About the role and your impact Our IT team works in cross-functional squads, driving the development of our platform in a product-centered environment. To support our growth and accelerate feature delivery, we're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d) with strong focus on NuxtJS and Symfony development. You'll play a central role in building and improving our legal tech platform, leveraging AI tools not just for speed but for smarter software development - from prototyping and testing to code generation and design decisions. You're comfortable working in modern stacks, but also know how to delegate repetitive tasks to AI and validate the results with engineering rigor.

Your responsibilities

• Work in agile Scrum teams focused on making access to legal consultation easier every day
• Use AI-assisted tools like Cursor IDE, Amazon Q, Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to:

• Generate and refactor code based on prompts and context
• Rapidly build proof-of-concepts and turn them into production-grade code
• Streamline documentation, improve code review processes, and detect potential issues before they surface

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Develop and maintain modern frontend components using Vue.js, NuxtJS, Tailwind CSS and related tools
• Build and extend backend APIs (GraphQL & REST) using PHP frameworks like Symfony or Laminas, designed with scalability and clean architecture in mind
• Validate AI-generated code through robust testing practices using Vitest, PHPUnit, Cypress and similar tools
• Write clear, prompt-based tests and use AI to generate edge-case scenarios and ensure high test coverage
• Participate in and influence architectural discussions - we hold open architecture sessions every Friday
• Help the team adopt new AI tools and approaches that reduce development time, improve quality or simplify complexity
• Work with DevOps to optimize CI/CD pipelines, enhance observability, and ensure seamless releases

• Strong frontend skills in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, with hands-on experience in Vue.js, NuxtJS, Vite and Tailwind
• At least 5 years of experience in fullstack development with modern PHP (Symfony, Laminas), GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and SQL-based databases
• Confident in working with AI-assisted development environments (e.g. Cursor IDE, Amazon Q, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT), and capable of validating and refining their output independently
• Experience using AI to accelerate development, improve tests, generate documentation and optimize code or architecture
• Comfortable with large, modular codebases and modern software engineering practices (clean code, SOLID principles, design patterns)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker), DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows
• Pragmatic, curious and eager to adopt new tools or approaches when they improve outcomes
• Fluent in German (B2+) is a plus for collaboration across teams and with stakeholders
