Senior Software Engineer - Backend at Blacklane As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of one of our autonomous agile teams. You will help us develop the services that power Blacklane, work on improving our back-office system, or solve problems around our products which allow business partners to integrate with the Blacklane platform. Our Environment Ruby, Go, Typescript and Java services, designed using DDD. Deployed to Kubernetes, communicating via domain events using SQS and Kafka. Data storage: Postgres, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, DynamoDB. AWS, Terraform provisioning. Your Challenge * Tackle unique challenges to tailor our products to specific markets. * Uphold high standards through comprehensive test coverage, documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing. * Invest time in optimizing the performance, usability, and maintainability of the systems under your care. * Commit to personal growth by learning new skills and technologies. * Contribute to a motivated

About You * Proactive, curious, and a team player. * Experienced (at least 5 years) with two or more programming languages. * Knowledge and experience (at least 5 years) with at least one of these languages: Ruby, Go. * Familiar with the HTTP protocol and have some experience with REST APIs. * Write quality, maintainable code following best practices. Comfortable with distributed systems challenges. * Experience or willingness to learn Event-driven architecture and domain-driven design. * Experience with Docker and containerized environments; Kubernetes and Terraform knowledge is a plus.
