Job description

  • Ensure detailed and end-to-end requirements are structured and fully testable, especially in complex areas, by guiding their formulation using use cases practices to promote a shift-left approach and accelerate test cycles.
  • Define and lead test strategies by formulating risk-based and contract-testing approaches, anticipating interdependencies across components and projects to secure robust validation aligned with Agile practices.
  • Perform intake of new initiatives and conduct high-level assessments in collaboration with roadmap leadership.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, coordinate environments and manage resource utilisation, including offshore teams and work allocation.
  • Ensure testing is delivered within quality, time and budget targets, while actively managing risks.
  • Support pre-production and production readiness, ensuring a smooth transition into live operations.
  • Manage defects effectively, ensuring proper assignment, prioritisation, and follow-up until resolution.
  • Report test progress, risks and impediments to relevant stakeholders at all levels.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within testing communities.
  • Mentor junior testers, foster a culture of quality, and drive improvements in testing practices.
  • Ensure your work contributes directly to the robustness and reliability of mission-critical business services, helping maintain Euroclear's competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in functional and non-functional IT testing, contributing directly to Business Resilience.
  • Strong understanding of business and financial drivers.
  • Comprehensive expertise in distributed and mainframe technologies (IBM Mainframe: PL/1, Cobol, SQL DB2, MQ, CICS, JCL, VSAM, XML), job scheduling tools such as CA7, and monitoring tools including Splunk.
  • Good background in testing automated processes, with experience in automation tools (e.g., Selenium) considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with test management and reporting tools such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Power BI.
  • Test management experience on cross functional, multi-platform, business resilience critical projects.
  • Strong leadership and the assertiveness needed to drive tasks to completion.
  • Very good analytical and investigation skills, with the ability to structure complex problems and propose solutions.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and operate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of breaking down complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, active listening) at all levels, including senior management.
  • Effective leadership with proven capability in task, team and offshore management.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Experience supporting Agile practices and methods in testing.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.

  • 7+ years of professional testing experience.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester) or equivalent.
