Cyber Security Consultant

GanapIT Limited is a progressive Information and Technology company. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cyber Security Consultant who will be responsible for safeguarding systems, networks, and data by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls, identifying and mitigating cyber risks, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems with the following skills and experience to join the Team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor, analyse, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities

• Support incident investigation, root cause analysis, and remediation activities

• Assist in securing networks, including firewalls, routers, switches, and endpoints

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, SOPs, and controls

• Support compliance with security standards, frameworks, and regulatory requirements

• Maintain accurate security documentation, reports, and dashboards

• Collaborate with IT, cloud, and application teams to implement security best practices

• Support security awareness initiatives and provide guidance to internal users

Do you have experience in Scripting?, * Cisco or CCNA-level networking knowledge

• Exposure to cloud security (AWS or Azure)

• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, linux, or PowerShell)

• Experience working in IT services, MSP, consultancy, or enterprise environments

• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, or EDR solutions
