IT Senior Java Developer

Join the IT development team of CIB IT Spain as a Technical Leader. You will lead the development of a portfolio of applications, ensuring quality, continuity, and compliance with BNP Paribas standards and cybersecurity policies. About BNP Paribas

• Understand and analyze business needs and propose sustainable solutions aligned with development best practices.
• Involve stakeholders in requirement definition and validation, assessing impacts.
• Ensure application functionality, maintainability and upgradeability.
• Report on service continuity, deadlines and budget.
• Propose methods to increase optimization and efficiency.
• Analyze incidents and propose preventive action plans.
• Estimate and establish road maps for the application portfolio.
• Implement and manage changes in production, ensuring quality.
• Lead go-live process, compare actual impacts with expectations and suggest adjustments.
• Support the team to achieve commitments.
• Coordinate or participate in communities of practice.
• Develop professional relationships and networks.

Studies

• Bachelor's or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. 3-5 years of experience normally expected.

Experience

• 6-8 years of Java development experience, with at least 3 years in microservices (Kubernetes).
• Full lifecycle experience from requirements analysis to production rollout; support during testing phases.
• Experience in incident handling for production teams.
• Prioritization, estimation and mentoring of junior developers.
• Full professional proficiency in English; knowledge of French or other European language is a plus.

Skills

• Strong Java development skills and overall IT knowledge.
• Experience with PHP/JSP, AngularJS, Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
• Knowledge of microservices (Kubernetes) and shell scripting.
• Database skills: Oracle SQL/PLSQL, PostgreSQL.
• Software architecture and Agile (Scrum) knowledge.
• Client-oriented with creativity and innovation.
