Job description
We're building TYTEN, bringing AI to the $1.5 trillion facilities management industry. The one that keeps the world running: elevators that don't trap people, heating that works in winter, pipes that don't burst on Christmas Eve.
Companies are banging down our door, demanding we build faster. We've got live UK clients and we're scaling from pilots to thousands of sites.
We need a Founding Systems Architect / Engineer who can design and build the core infrastructure powering our AI platform. Someone who bridges architecture, system design, and hands-on building. Not here for "another job," but for real impact.
What we're building
Our AI platform helps FM companies and technicians work dramatically better:
- Help desk automation: Orchestrates repair requests, task allocation, subcontractor coordination, reporting. Cutting processing time by 20x.
- AI-guided diagnostics: Step-by-step guidance through our app with tools, diagnostic steps, repair instructions. 25% faster repairs, 15% better first-time fix rates.
We integrate as an intelligence layer on existing ticketing systems (CMMS/CAFM). Using AI (OpenAI, Gemini, LangChain, vector stores, OCR) to solve real operational problems., Partner-level founding role. You'll:
- Design system architecture for scaling from pilots to thousands of sites
- Build production infrastructure: Python (FastAPI/Django), PostgreSQL, AWS, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
- Ship AI/LLM features: LangChain, LlamaIndex, prompt engineering, vector databases, OCR
- Own technical direction and architectural decisions
- Work directly with founders on technical culture and product direction

- AI/LLM experience: Shipped AI features to production. Hands-on with LangChain, vector stores, prompt engineering, document processing. You understand trade-offs (latency, cost, quality).
- Startup DNA: Want equity because you want to own something that matters. Maybe you've founded before and it blew up. Maybe you always wanted to. Grit matters more than specific frameworks.
