- The best equipment and technology to do your job, including a dual-widescreen working area, As an In-House Business Systems Developer / Automation Specialist, you'll play a key role in shaping how Allerton uses technology as the business continues to grow.
You'll work closely with operational and leadership teams to understand how the business actually runs, then help translate that into systems that work in the real world.
We currently use Pipedrive as our CRM and have implemented automation using tools such as Make, however we're very open to exploring alternative platforms and approaches where they make sense. This role is about ownership, improvement and evolution - not being tied to a single toolset., * Working closely with operational and leadership teams to understand workflows, challenges and priorities
- Designing and improving workflow-driven systems, automation and integrations
- Digitising survey forms and job completion forms used by on-site subcontractors
- Ensuring data captured in the field flows cleanly into core systems
- Reviewing, recommending and implementing planning or scheduling solutions that integrate effectively with wider systems
- Reducing manual handling and decision-making through smarter system design
- Improving reporting, visibility and system-driven prompts to support better operational decisions
- Maintaining documentation and supporting knowledge handover
- Continuously identifying opportunities to work smarter, not harder, As Allerton continues to scale, our systems play a critical role in supporting consistency, quality and good decision-making.
This role helps ensure the right information is available at the right time - reducing friction, improving clarity and enabling our people to focus on doing great work.
It's a role where thoughtful system design has a real, tangible impact on how the business operates every day.
Requirements
Curious, practical and systems-minded.
You enjoy understanding how a business actually runs - not just how it looks on paper - and translating that into systems that genuinely support people day to day.
You're comfortable working with ambiguity and enjoy bringing structure to complexity. You think logically about processes, information flow and outcomes, and you're confident recommending improvements rather than simply maintaining what already exists.
You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and are able to explain systems, logic and decisions in a way that makes sense to others.
You care about usability, sustainability and doing things properly - building systems that work in the real world, not just in theory., * Experience building, improving or owning workflow-driven systems (CRM, case management, automation platforms or similar)
- A strong understanding of systems thinking, data flows and operational processes
- Experience designing digital forms and end-to-end workflows
- Confidence working directly with non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive, organised and solution-focused approach to work
- The ability to take ownership, apply sound judgement and explain decisions clearly
- A willingness to learn, adapt and evolve as the business grows

Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
