Job description

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure cloud platform.
  • Utilise Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks and Synapse Analytics to implement data solutions.
  • Transform and cleanse large data sets using Python and PySpark.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to support data solutions and integrations.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the pipeline.
  • Optimise data processes for performance and cost-efficiency across Azure services.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of systems and processes.

Requirements

We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote role based in the United Kingdom, offering a competitive daily rate of £550 per day, Outside IR35. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working with Microsoft Azure technologies, Databricks, Python, and PySpark to deliver cutting-edge data engineering solutions. This position demands a data professional who can build robust, scalable data pipelines and transform complex data sets into actionable insights. You'll work alongside cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, helping to optimise data systems and drive strategic initiatives through the power of data., * Strong experience in data engineering on the Microsoft Azure platform.

  • Proficient in Databricks development for data transformations and analytics.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python, with a solid understanding of PySpark.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Proven ability to work within Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
