Your Impact
Networking Solutions Engineer in Cisco are technical leads that advice and support Sales teams with pre-sales and technical knowledge. We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Networking Expert as part of our sales team to lead customer-facing workshops, proof of concept activities, and strategic engagements focused on Cisco networking products across wireless, switching and routing - managed on-prem or in the cloud. This role is ideal for someone who excels at translating complex network architectures into clear, actionable insights-empowering customers, partners, and internal teams through education and technical guidance. Successful candidate will work as a"Systems Architec" for accounts in the Dutch Enterprise and Commercial market segment.
You will build and nurture strong relationships with key contacts at our largest customers to be their trusted advisor in all things Cisco networking.
In addition to customer engagement, you will maintain a deep understanding of Cisco's Cloud (e.g., Meraki) and On-Prem (e.g., Catalyst) products, staying informed about new features and industry trends and collaborate closely with our business units and product teams-providing field feedback and influencing product direction.
- Manage customer relationships at technical and sales levels
- Provide technical, consultative and architectural sales support
- Together with the Account Team develop and manage the technical account plan
- Proactively generate new opportunities through customer meetings, events and seminars
- Collaborate closely with key cross-functional teams across the Architecture Teams, Sales, Service and Engineering.
- Participate in the creation of an overall (technical) account plan

- Stay up-to-date on Cisco solutions, products and services
- Analyze customer business problem and priorities in a technical context and be able to translate priorities into technical roadmaps
- Define solution options and articulate the benefits of a Cisco solution
- Understand business economics and trends of the industries and vertical markets in which the customer conduct business and reflect how Cisco solutions can add strategic value
- Help plan for and move deals through the sales process by knowing how and when to engage the appropriate Cisco and partner tools and resource
- Build relationships both within and outside of Cisco; establish credibility quickly by being the trusted advisor
- Being able to handle a high-volume activity and having a sense-of-urgency mentality
- Ability to travel as required
Who You Are
You possess relevant technical background in Cisco products related to technical design and implementation of Cisco's solutions with the focus on enterprise architectures.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Master's degree?, You're seasoned with customer-facing pre-sales engagements, and you easily explain technical concepts and subjects to a variety of audience levels with varied technical backgrounds, at the same time articulating the business value of those technical topics. Your ability to communicate effectively helps you to build confidence in the technology and convert business opportunities into sales. Experience in the commercial or manufacturing sector, as well as understanding of the challenges running large projects are an advantage., * 7+ years of experience in a technical role as Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, Sales Engineer or pre-sale
- Strong technical background in Cisco Networking solutions (routing, wireless, switching, automation)
- Proficient in SASE frameworks and cloud architecture (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
- Strong communication and presentation skills for technical audiences.
- Excellent skills in relationship-building, presentation, organization, multitasking, and prioritization.
- Excellent technical consulting skills, including ability to define trade-offs, ask probing questions, and incorporate Cisco solutions into a broader technology environment
- Hands-on experience integrating and automating Cisco Meraki, Catalyst Center, and Cisco SSE using REST APIs and automation/IaC tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Python SDKs) within Git/CI-driven DevOps practices.
- Fluent in Dutch (primary) and English (secondary, written and verbal), * Typically requires BSc/MSc educational qualification or equivalent relevant working experience
- Experienced in leading and designing complex large-scale projects with multiple integration points
- Ability to think cross-architecture and link Cisco products and architectures to customer needs
- Cisco certifications like CCNP (minimum requirement for this or similar), CCDP (can be expired), DevNet, CCIE or other Industry equivalents are beneficial
- Understand networking and networking security industry trends, including new products and solutions
- Understand competitive product and solution landscape
