Job description
I'm working with a well-established software company in Cambridge that's looking to add 2 AWS Cloud Engineers to their team. They build cloud-based products used globally, and this role plays a key part in keeping those platforms secure, reliable and scalable.
You'll be joining a close-knit team of Cloud, Software and Infrastructure engineers, several of whom have been with the business for 10+ years. The reason for that is simple: it's a supportive, collaborative environment where people are trusted to do their jobs properly, contribute ideas and make a real impact. Real autonomy.
The package is strong and includes a company bonus, 25 days' holiday, private healthcare, flexible working and the occasional team pub lunch. It's a good fit for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer who enjoys hands-on cloud work and wants a role with longevity.
What you'll be doing:
- Building secure, highly available AWS services using Terraform
- Automating workflows and improving existing processes
- Supporting and maintaining the AWS cloud estate
- Infrastructure-as-code automations
- Improving existing architecture and contributing to new designs
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, * 5+ years' experience in an AWS Cloud Engineer role
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform)
- Solid infrastructure background
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to commute to Cambridge (within 45 minutes - parking available)
Experience with CI/CD, Bash and/or Python would be useful, but isn't essential.
This isn't an entry-level role, and you'll need full right to work in the UK with no restrictions. Please note: this is not a DevOps position.
This role would suit someone currently working as an AWS Cloud Engineer in a small-to-medium sized organisation who wants to be part of a stable, well-run business where their work is genuinely valued.
