Job description
We currently work with Rhino and are in the process of moving to Node.js. Rhino specific experience isn't essential, it's just another JS platform. The application uses MySQL for persistence.
Applications are deployed either with Ansible or in containers and we are moving towards Kubernetes for orchestration.
We work in an agile way, prioritising clear delivery in small chunks and continually improving the way that we work. The current applications are monolithic, so as we split them up we will be looking at new technologies as we go. Newer persistence options such as MongoDB and CockroachDB for SQL are all on the radar. We are also currently reworking our search and discovery to use ElasticSearch.
- Really need a developer that is happy with both Front and Back end development in JavaScript.
Requirements
- Be able to rapidly learn new domains and understand complex business processes
- Understand how to work at an abstract architectural and concrete implementation level
- Have experience designing APIs, including RESTful APIs
Benefits & conditions

- 25 days of paid leave per year - Rullion operate a holiday purchase scheme to allow employees to add to their holiday allowance after the first 12 months.
- There is a flexible working policy that allows for working from home on a regular basis by prior arrangement. All developers are equipped with a laptop to make this possible.
- There is also a remote working policy that allows pre-arranged remote working on an ad-hoc basis. Both aim to support a good work life balance.
