Job description
QBE Europe is currently recruiting a Test Lead to join our Technology & Transformation function in our London office. The purpose of this role is to oversee the implementation and delivery of application testing, including planning, coordination and management of service strategy with outsourced vendors. This involves liaising with internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance and effectiveness of processes, and guiding vendors to achieve service level agreements through scoping, planning, and managing testing activities.
Your new role
- Creating and implementing strategic plans across the testing function for the team.
- Creation and oversight of functional and performance test strategies, plans, scenarios, and test cases for projects.
- Coordinating testing activities, including estimation, planning, team management, and reporting.
- Mentoring and coaching the team for development.
- Managing stakeholder relationships throughout the testing cycle.
- Documenting and verifying test results, incidents, bugs, and issues in alignment with QBE testing methodology.
- Ensuring regression testing packs are continually kept up to date to maintain currency.
- Contributing to the delivery of all test artefacts accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with peers in other areas of the department to develop improved strategies for the wider testing function.
- Identifying, communicating, and managing risks and issues as they arise.
- Ensuring stakeholder feedback is effectively addressed for quality outputs.
- Supporting the transition of testing processes to third-party vendors and managing vendor relationships effectively.
Requirements
Necessary Work Experience includes:
- Extensive experience using testing methodologies and tools.
- Some experience leading testing teams.
- Thrives on taking ownership of a function and being proactive.
Preferred Work Experience includes:
