Job description
This exciting position will be a key contributor in executing the global online digital payments strategy. The Digital Payments team has responsibility for Payment Strategy, Relationships with Payment Service Providers, and Payment Operations. This position requires a person highly detail-oriented with significant knowledge on "Card not present" (CNP) and other online payments methods (Open Banking, ACH, Wallets, etc.). With experience in eCommerce and / or Online Financial Services environments (web, mobile) and focus on improving payments performance, efficiency, and cost reduction., * Analyze, research and review card not present (CNP) and other online payments transactional activity to identify incremental revenue opportunities.
- Develop recommendations to increase revenue (payment providers costs analysis).
- Analyze payment trends (e.g. performance of payment providers, countries)
- Conduct research and analysis, prepare management reports and make recommendations to senior officers.
- Increase operational efficiencies to streamline and simplify process flows and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain Policy and Procedure documentation.
- Work closely with Finance, Compliance, and Customer Service on payments related issues.
- Support accounting and reconciliation functions as they relate to payments.
- Assist customer service representatives with questions or issues regarding payment issues.
- Utilize various tools to gather, analyze, and interpret data from several sources including transactions, authorizations, financial data, third party data providers and online methods.
- Conduct follow-up research on transactions.
- Keep detailed records of suspicious activity, analyze trends, and communicate security threats to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Research?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * BA/BS degree on a relevant subject (Business Administration, Economics, etc.); MBA preferred, but not required. MBA preferred, but not required.
- Strong desire to build a career in the payments industry.
- 0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field (eCommerce / Online Financial Services). Understanding of transaction processing flows with different payment methods (cards, bank transfers, Open Banking, ACH, Wallets, etc..).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work on different reports to assist the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Solid analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze diverse information and develop strategy recommendations.
- Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
- Must possess strong research skills along with the ability to navigate multiple systems at once.
- Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Strong understanding of customer needs.
- Persistent and results focused - must be able to deliver results in an environment which requires a high tolerance for ambiguity.
- Extensive multi-tasking and prioritization skills - needs to excel in fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
