Job description
As an ICT Support Technician, you will deliver 1st and 2nd line technical support to external partners across the public sector. You will manage support tickets, troubleshoot IT issues, and ensure users receive timely, effective assistance. The role begins as temporary, with the long-term goal of transitioning to permanent employment once SC Security Clearance is successfully obtained., * Provide remote and in-person IT support as an ICT Support Technician, assisting users via service desk, phone, email, and remote tools.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and account-related issues.
- Support Windows environments, including configuration, troubleshooting, and user guidance.
- Manage devices and applications through Microsoft Intune, applying MDM/MAM policies and deployments.
- Perform account administration, including Active Directory tasks and password resets.
- Configure and set up desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Maintain accurate documentation, ticket notes, and knowledge base articles.
- Assist with IT projects, rollouts, and upgrades as needed, following internal security standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience providing 1st and 2nd line IT support in a professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and device management.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop new IT skills.
