Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Software & Integration Engineer to join our established software team. You will play a vital role in supporting the integration of BMS solutions, ensuring seamless system performance, and gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge control technologies.

As a junior team member, you will work closely with experienced engineers within our Software and MSI (Master Systems Integrator) departments to help deliver smart, safe, sustainable and healthy BMS solutions for intelligent buildings.

You will have the opportunity to work on some of London's leading-edge developments, learning about the world of HVAC, lighting control, integration, intelligent building networks, cloud-connected edge devices and IoT technology.

You should be able to demonstrate a passion for engineering, building management and be eager to learn and develop new skills within a supportive, collaborative environment.

While some prior exposure to controls or software principles is beneficial, we primarily value the willingness to grow and adapt.

This role is based on site in our Coulsdon office, with occasional travel to customer sites in London.

Duties

  • Assist with the integration of Building Management Systems into client infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance
  • Support senior engineers in testing and commissioning BMS hardware and software components
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to troubleshoot system issues and implement effective solutions
  • Document system configurations, integration procedures, and test results accurately
  • Participate in site visits for system installation, calibration, and validation activities
  • Contribute to ongoing research and development projects related to quantum engineering applications within control systems
  • Maintain detailed records of all integration activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * University Degree (BEng/Meng/BSc) or equivalent technical qualification.

  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Outlook & SharePoint
  • IT competency and interest in software development
  • Some understanding of IT networks, IP-based systems and cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) / smart technology
  • A desire to work in an engineering and building management environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an active approach to learning new concepts
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environments
  • Good communication skills for documenting processes and collaborating with colleagues
  • Willingness to undertake site visits and hands-on system testing as needed
