Job description

Data Architect Duration: 6 months Location: Telford (2 days per week onsite) Clearance: SC IR35: Mandated PAYE only

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a new scrum team. The project focuses on delivering ingestion and risking capabilities within the SAS platform, following a successful proof of concept designed to identify and prevent fraudulent SA registrations using data from multiple enterprise sources.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, maintaining and updating data models aligned to enterprise standards
  • Defining and supporting data architecture, including metadata, integration and data warehousing
  • Performing data profiling and source system analysis across multiple data sources
  • Supporting data governance, assurance and compliance with data policy
  • Contributing to data dictionaries and metadata repositories
  • Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Supporting problem management through root-cause analysis and preventative measures

Experience required:

  • Proven experience working as a Data Architect in complex data environments
  • Strong understanding of data modelling principles and reverse-engineering live systems
  • Experience defining data standards and assessing impacts of non-compliance
  • Knowledge of metadata management and integration architecture patterns
  • Ability to translate business problems into effective data design solutions
  • Experience working within Agile or scrum delivery teams
