Job description
You bring deep expertise in UI/UX, frontend development, and SaaS consulting, and are passionate about translating customer needs into scalable, high-quality platform solutions. You think from the customer's perspective and help them maximize the value of Staffbase - visually, technically, and strategically.
To support our customers, this role covers Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm CET.
What you'll be doing
- Act as a trusted technical and design advisor for enterprise customers and key stakeholders
- Translate business and technical requirements into UI/UX, styling, and frontend customization solutions aligned with product best practices
- Enable customers to build modern, accessible, and brand-consistent applications using Staffbase configuration options, custom frontend techniques, and AI-assisted capabilities
- Create mockups, prototypes, and design concepts to support decision-making
- Design and support frontend implementations using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and modern frameworks (e.g. REST APIs, React ecosystem)
- Provide expert guidance on theming, custom CSS, layout strategies, and component- and widget-based architectures
- Own design-driven implementations end-to-end throughout onboarding and the customer lifecycle
- Partner with Technical Support Engineers, Onboarding Specialists, and Customer Care Agents on complex customer projects
- Identify technical risks, edge cases, and scalability concerns to prevent recurring issues
- Lead customer workshops with design, frontend, and technical teams and define implementation roadmaps
- Collaborate closely with Product Designers, UX Researchers, Frontend Engineers, and Customer Success Managers
- Bring structured customer feedback into product discussions to influence roadmap priorities and usability improvements
- Improve internal processes, documentation, and best practices with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Act as a Staffbase product expert with a strong customer-service mindset
Requirements
Do you have experience in XML?, * 5+ years of experience in frontend development, web design, technical consulting, professional services, or equivalent hands-on SaaS experience
- Degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Web Engineering, or comparable practical background
- Proven experience working with enterprise customers and cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Success, Consultants, and System Integrators
- Track record of contributing to or leading complex, deadline-driven technical projects
- Strategic and execution-focused, able to translate vision into impactful results while thriving in fast-paced SaaS environments with shifting priorities
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with hands-on experience in React and modern frontend ecosystems
- Working knowledge of Tailwind CSS and component-based design systems
- Confident with tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Miro, or similar
- Strong design sensibility and the ability to solve complex visual and UX challenges across platforms
- Highly organized, proactive, and quality-driven team player with a curious mindset and a passion for continuous learning and collaboration
- Deep commitment to Accessibility (WCAG) and usability principles
- Experience with JSON, XML, and API-driven, data-oriented frontend architectures
- Business-fluent German and English communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong presentation and stakeholder-management skills
