Requirements
Computer Science or relatedBachelor'sDegree
5+ years of Software Development experience
3+ yearsof ScalaFunctional Programmingversions 2 or 3 experience, andexperiencewithrelatedScalalibraries such as Zio
2+ yearsof experience anddemonstratedskill with Elasticsearch queries and performance
Preferred Qualifications:
MScDegreeincomputer science orrelated
Skilled with data structure design ofElasticsearchdatafor performance
Skilledwithdata structure design of Warehouse datain RDS Postgres,Delta Lakeor other relational databasesand data storage frameworks
Experience with API design and performance in orVert.x
Experience with data transformation in Spark Scala orDaskpython
Experience with cloud application performance at one of the top 3 providers
Architecting and performance analysis skills
Strongly driven - ability to clarify product requirements into technical specifications, and deliver solid code in a highly distributed and fast-moving environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to mentor other engineers and testers

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer (Scala2/3 FP, Elasticsearch,Spark) to join our Signals Software Team, building a product we call the Signals Data Factory.
The Signals Data Factory is a product which specializes in taking in many different forms of scientific data, transforming ittoa structured format for analytics, and making it searchable (using Elasticsearch) and analyzable via a variety of interfaces. Its current use spans from early in the drug-discovery process to analyzing active clinical trial data.

You Will:
* Createhighlyperformantand scalableservices primarily in ScalaFP
* Work on a medium to large data warehouse for scientific data, that's also AI/ML ready, with a focus on searching and analytics of that data
* Work on a medium to large data transformation enginecapable of processing petabytes of datato the warehouse
* Work with AWS services and cloud technologies
* Collaborate with fellow team members on priorities, technical specifications,design reviews,code reviews, implementation, testing and troubleshooting
