Medior IT Workflow & Integration Engineer Boesingheliede, Schiphol area, NL Full-time To be determined MBO/HBO At Van Straaten, you work in a complex and dynamic IT environment where multiple systems and platforms work seamlessly together. You join an existing, fully operational production environment that is intensively used on a daily basis. Our environment includes, among others:
  • A portal where both customers and back-office teams can create and manage orders.

  • Integrated inventory management providing real-time insight into material availability.

  • A planning system that determines when and how orders are produced.

  • Esko Automation Engine as the central engine controlling print jobs across our printers. Tasks & responsibilities As a Medior IT Workflow & Integration Engineer, your responsibilities include:

  • Designing, optimizing and managing existing workflows.

  • Setting up, maintaining and improving integrations with servers, databases, printers and other systems.

  • Writing, reading and optimizing SQL queries for data exchange, validation and reporting.

  • Applying JavaScript to implement logic within workflows.

  • Contributing to the architecture around Automation Engine and connected systems.

  • Monitoring the performance, stability and security of workflows and integrations.

  • Analyzing and structurally resolving incidents and recurring issues.

  • Documenting workflows, integrations, configurations and technical decisions clearly.

  • Working closely with colleagues from prepress, production, back office and IT to translate requirements into scalable automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Completed IT education at MBO or HBO level, or demonstrably equivalent working and thinking level.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a medior IT role.
  • Proven experience with prepress automation software such as Esko Automation Engine, PrintFactory or Durst Workflow.
  • Solid command of SQL and the ability to independently read, write and optimize queries.
  • Practical knowledge of JavaScript, with the ability to understand, modify and extend scripts.
  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure.
  • Structured and accurate way of working, with attention to testing and documentation.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • It's a plus if you have knowledge of prepress and print production, preferably textile printing, experience with Synology NAS systems, Linux workstations such as Ubuntu or Debian, and additional scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash or Python.
