What you will learn:
As a Graduate within the Infrastructure Engineering team, you will join a structured programme that provides an entry point into professional engineering and exposure to a broad portfolio of projects across civil infrastructure, mechanical and marine assets. Based initially at the Port of Grangemouth, you will work under the guidance of senior infrastructure and asset engineers to support the development and delivery of port infrastructure projects across our Scottish ports.
The role will contribute to life-cycle renewal, capital planning and modernisation initiatives that are critical to the long-term performance of the business. You will gain practical, hands-on experience across project and asset management activities, with opportunities to broaden your exposure across the wider Scottish Ports portfolio., 2. Screening call: If your application is of interest, our Talent Acquisition team will be in touch for an initial discussion, answer any questions that you may have and invite you to the assessment centre.
- Online Assessment: We will share a personal profiling assessment for you to complete ahead of the assessment day via email.
- Confirmation email: We will share an email to confirm what to expect at the assessment centre, anything that you need to prepare and what to bring on the day.
- Assessment Day: You meet the team and get a great feel for why Forth Ports is for you! This will take place on Wednesday 22nd April.

Requirements

An understanding of how infrastructure and engineering projects are planned and delivered in an operational environment
-
Experience supporting project scoping, specifications, risk management, budgets and tender documentation

Practical exposure to site inspections, surveys and condition assessments to inform design and lifecycle planning

Experience working with internal teams, contractors and external advisors to support coordinated project delivery

Knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards, including CDM and internal SHE procedures

Experience supporting construction monitoring, project documentation and contractor performance review

An understanding of project governance, including progress tracking, change control and lessons learned

Familiarity with engineering and asset management systems such as CMMS, document management tools and dashboards

Experience preparing reports, presentations and materials for senior stakeholders and governance forums

The ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks across different projects and phases, We want to build on our success and to do this we know that we must continue to invest in our future business leaders. We are also looking for the following:

A degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering with Project Management with a minimum 2:1 achieved / expected

Demonstrated interest in infrastructure projects, asset management or engineering delivery

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)

Proficient with Autodesk applications (AutoCAD, Civil 3D & ReCap Pro (GIS))

Willingness to travel to sites across Scotland and work flexibly around project needs

Enthusiasm for professional development and working toward professional registration

Full driving licence, valid in the UK due to travel across our Ports
