Job description
The Cloud Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining cloud-based applications and services. Working closely, under Scrum methodology, with cross-functional teams including Architects, Product Owners, Testers and other developers to deliver product increments in line with defined Sprint goals ensuring they meet both functional and non-functional requirements (such as scalability, reliability, and security). The role will involve problem-solving and the development of innovative solutions and Proof of Concepts to meet the needs of the client. Security clearance or willingness to apply will be required for this role. Key responsibilities:
- Create and implement cloud-based applications and services.
- Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including domain architects and solution architects, to develop and refine cloud solutions.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud applications.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends, such as serverless and microservices, to drive innovation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud solutions.
- Identify and resolve issues related to cloud applications and services.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure the quality and performance of cloud solutions.
- Continuously improve cloud solutions based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), preferably with related qualification such as AWS solutions architect or equivalent.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or C#.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in globally disperse teams.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Benefits & conditions
Salary Package: £60,000 - £70,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year Hours: 9.00 am - 5.30 pm, Monday - Friday Interview Process: 2-stage process
