Job description
- Design, implement, and maintain production-grade software using VueJS and RESTful APIs (e.g., FastAPI).
- Establish testing strategy (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and resilience tests).
- Documenting software development processes, strategies and decisions.
- Implement telemetry, logging to monitor health and reliability post-deployment.
- Run agile ceremonies with product owners (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews), translate requirements into well-scoped increments, and manage delivery risks.
- Provide hands-on coaching, code reviews, and pair programming; elevate engineering standards (readability, testability, scalability, operability).
- As well as taking on a leadership role when it comes to individual contribution, this role will also have the opportunity to lead a team as we continue to grow.
Requirements
- Ability to write robust and maintainable software using modern frameworks (VueJS, TypeScript, Fast API, GraphQL, Python)
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse team
- Software architecture and design
- Ability to coach and mentor junior engineers, * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Strong programming skills in VueJS and GraphQL
- Proven experience building and operating production REST APIs (preferably FastAPI or similar).
- Good understanding of Python and proficiency with object-oriented paradigms.
- Working knowledge of C++ and NodeJS
- Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) as well as Windows/Linux native.
- Experience or a desire to lead a team of software engineers., * Demonstrated track record leading agile teams, partnering with product owners, and shipping software through CI/CD to users at scale.
- An interest in industrial robotics, system integration and vision systems such as 3D point clouds and UVC cameras, or a strong desire to learn.
- Offline programming of robotic systems using software such as Siemens NX and Fanuc Roboguide.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, mentor others, and raise engineering quality bars.
