Now, we're inviting a talented and ambitious Business Intelligence Analyst to join our BI service.

We're excited to be moving to Microsoft Fabric in the coming months, unlocking new possibilities for single view and end to end analysis, automation and scalable insight delivery. Our team is already embracing Copilot and other AI driven tools, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in local government intelligence.

The role will include:

  • Providing support to colleagues working on strategic and operational performance management, identifying where performance insights can inform business decisions, and drive improvement.

  • Working with teams of data developers and analysts to support the delivery of Business Intelligence solutions to provide customers with timely and robust data analysis and insight.

  • Assist in the completion of statutory and the provision of data sets from multiple sources.

  • Supporting in the production of high quality, user friendly reports and dashboards that display complex information, including predictive analysis to improve outcomes for local people and organisational effectiveness.

  • Supporting with data cleansing and improving data quality to strengthen accountability across the organisation

  • Enabling data to be accessed by colleagues through the development of 'self-serve' capabilities., We welcome the opportunity to have a chat about the role and are happy to address any questions you may have about flexible working arrangements, including as a result of caring responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience of undertaking analysis and interpreting data to provide identify and produce key findings

  • Experience of identifying, analysing and interpreting trends and patterns in data to inform future service delivery.

  • You possess excellent communication and story telling skills, and able to tailor messages and deliver these to diverse audiences

  • Experience of developing and maintaining relationships, with strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences.

  • A level 6 qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
