Job description
- Perform thorough testing of software deliverables, primarily using manual testing techniques, while also understanding and supporting automated testing where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively within an agile team environment, partnering closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, valuable software increments.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing practices, with a focus on enhancing manual testing strategies, while contributing insights into automation where relevant.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, offering thoughtful input to support team goals and product quality.
- Engage with the global cross-Informatics testing community, sharing knowledge and learning from peers to strengthen testing capabilities across teams.
- Develop and pursue a personal growth plan in your area of testing expertise, with support from your manager to access relevant training and development opportunities.
Requirements

Demonstrated experience in designing and executing effective manual testing strategies to support software product development and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Strong understanding of agile testing principles and practices, with hands-on experience applying them in real-world agile environments.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, working towards shared goals and contributing to a positive team dynamic. Desirable (but not essential) qualifications and experience:

Familiarity with software test automation concepts and frameworks, such as Selenium and C#, with a willingness to learn and grow in this area.

Exposure to Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

ISEB / ISTQB Foundation Level certification or interest in pursuing certification as part of professional development.

Experience or interest in contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within testing or broader team practices.
