Job description

Applause IT are working with a well-established UK software provider delivering cloud-based solutions to public sector organisations. They are looking to hire an Implementation Consultant to support customers through successful software implementations and early-stage adoption.

This is a customer-facing, consultative role focused on onboarding, configuration and best-practice use of enterprise software. You'll work closely with customers, project managers and internal technical teams to ensure smooth delivery, strong engagement and long-term success.

The role

  • Leading implementation and onboarding activities for new software customers
  • Supporting system setup, configuration and early adoption aligned to best practice
  • Delivering training sessions, workshops and knowledge transfer
  • Acting as a trusted advisor throughout the implementation lifecycle
  • Managing multiple customer implementations in parallel
  • Collaborating with project, technical and professional services teams

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, * Experience as an Implementation Consultant, Software Consultant, Application Consultant or similar

  • Background in software implementation, onboarding, consultancy or application support
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident delivering training, demos or workshops
  • Comfortable working with configuration, data and system workflows
  • Able to manage multiple projects with care and attention to detail
  • A consultative mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Desirable skills

  • Basic SQL experience (e.g. simple queries for data validation or troubleshooting)
  • Understanding of relational databases and data structures
  • Experience supporting data migration or system configuration activities
  • Exposure to public sector or local authority environments
