Job description

Your role focuses on the development and optimization of high-integrity information management systems. It involves creating software solutions that interconnect complex sensor data with hardware interfaces, ensuring absolute reliability in distributed, real-time environments.

The work is centered on the infrastructure layer, specifically the software powering network capabilities, operator control systems, and monitoring sensors.

You'll work across the full development lifecycle: from requirement analysis and design to testing, validation and showcasing results. The position offers a blend of remote work and on-site collaboration in Hengelo, the Netherlands.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Scrum?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Strong communication and analytical skills. A proactive, agile mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. A genuine interest in naval or defense-related systems. Essential experience:

Programming: Proficient in Python (object-oriented and functional programming). Development tools: Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Maven and Jira. Software maintenance: Proven ability to support software across different OS releases. Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Ansible (certification or demonstrable knowledge is a plus). Networks: Familiarity with technologies such as routing, switching, OSPF, multicast and firewalling. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role; Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is an advantage. Scaled Scrum experience is a plus. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Service Management, System & Network Engineering or a comparable field.
