First Line Support Engineer

Robert Half Technology are assisting a leading education organisation to recruit a First Line Support Engineer on a contract basis. On-site full time - Ipswich based, with occasional visits to the London office. Role

• Provide first line IT support for staff and students across the school environment.
• Act as a floor walker and respond to tickets in a timely manner.
• Support and troubleshoot hardware and software, including printers, interactive whiteboards, Windows devices, Chrome Books, and other classroom technology.
• Escalate issues where necessary and ensure swift resolution.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and maintain accurate support records.
• Maintain awareness of emerging IT support practices and technologies relevant to the school environment.
• Occasionally visit the London office for meetings, training, or collaborative tasks.

Do you have experience in Windows?, * 1-2 years' experience in first line IT support, preferably in an education or MSP environment.

• ComTIA certification required.
• DOC certified.
• Strong understanding of Windows OS, Chrome OS, printers, whiteboards, and classroom technology.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to support users in a professional and approachable manner.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
