Job description

You will take responsibility for the technical leadership during the design and development and support of our products. Take the lead, progressing the design, development, design proving, test etc as part of a multi-disciplined team. Principal Systems Engineer will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working. The salary for this role is up to £80k, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Technical leadership of defined work packages
  • Leading and mentoring project team members
  • Managing Requirements throughout the Engineering Lifecycle
  • Proving Technical inputs to bidding activities
  • Integration and production qualification activities
  • Taking Prototypes and developing them into Products
  • Work Package Generation#

Requirements

  • Degree, HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Familiar with systems engineering best practice
  • Extensive Knowledge and experience of working within Verification and Validation
  • Proven experience with electrical design and product development
  • Experience with combat systems is desirable
  • Competence with requirements management tools such as DOORs NG is preferred
  • Competence with SYSML management tools such as Rhapsody is preferred
