Job description

You will begin with full training and shadowing. Once competent, you will work independently to complete site surveys and onsite IT upgrades, ensuring each location is fully prepared for the client's new CRM system., Pre-Installation Surveys

  • Visit customer sites to complete digital surveys
  • Capture photos, network details, power layout and workstation readiness
  • Identify infrastructure issues such as cabling or router positioning
  • Submit accurate Survey Reports through our digital system

IT Upgrade & Installation Work

  • Install and configure customer-supplied routers (including DrayTek models)
  • Configure desktop PCs for CRM rollout
  • Install and configure printers
  • Assist with CRM system setup following provided templates
  • Perform network patching and cable tidying
  • Complete final checks to ensure the site is ready for CRM go-live

Routers and training materials will be provided.

Field Engineering & Reporting

  • Follow our Delivery Process for all survey and installation tasks
  • Provide photographic evidence and job completion notes
  • Ensure all equipment is handled safely and reaches sites securely
  • Progress from supervised shadowing to independent field engineering, This role requires either:
  • Self-billing, or
  • Working through an approved umbrella company

This ensures smooth payments for flexible, nationwide project work.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, We are looking for someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic about developing a career in IT and Field Services
  • Has basic knowledge of Windows systems and local area networking
  • Is willing to learn router setup, printer configuration and CRM system setup
  • Is reliable, organised and comfortable travelling long distances
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Communicates professionally on customer sites
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has their own car, * Do you have a full UK driving licence?

Do you have access to your own car for work?

Are you willing to travel nationwide, sometimes with early starts or late returns?

Are you comfortable carrying out work at customer sites?

Do you have basic knowledge of Windows operating systems?

Do you have a basic understanding of local area networking (IP addresses, routers, switches)?

Are you available for a zero-hours contract with flexible working patterns?

Have you ever installed or configured a router? (Any brand)

Have you completed any IT-related studies, courses or self-learning?

Have you previously installed hardware such as PCs, printers or monitors?

Are you confident following step-by-step technical instructions?

Are you comfortable taking clear photos and completing digital forms accurately?
