Job description

The IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality technical support, both remotely and on-site, to ensure rapid resolution and escalation of issues. This role will primarily be on site and requires strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners, particularly in areas where direct access is restricted. The position is designed to bridge 1st and 2nd line support, with a focus on developing advanced skills in cloud and automation technologies.

Responsibilities include:

· Technical Support & Troubleshooting

o Resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring all tickets are handled within SLA deadlines.

o Provide on-site support for areas requiring physical presence or restricted access, collaborating with specialists as needed.

o Maintain up-to-date records in CRM and ticketing systems.

· Collaboration & Escalation

o Work closely with teams responsible for:

  • Networking equipment (Sophos, Meraki)
  • Firewall configuration
  • Site-to-site and client VPN setup
  • Microsoft Entra Identity/SSO
  • Corporate MDM (Intune)
  • DNS configuration
  • Azure, AWS, Wireguard

o Act as a liaison for fast escalation and resolution in areas outside direct access.

· Project & Pre-Sales Support

o Assist sales and operations teams in specifying and delivering solutions.

o Support onboarding of new customers and delivery of client projects.

o Identify potential new business opportunities during client interactions and relay to account managers.

· Continuous Improvement & Development

o Proactively identify issues and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

Do you have experience in VPN?, · Strong communication skills at all levels (clients, suppliers, vendors, colleagues)

· Sound knowledge of IT and communications products/services, at least 1-2 years' experience

· Experience with or willingness to learn:

  • Networking (Sophos, Meraki)
  • Firewall and VPN configuration
  • Microsoft Entra, Intune, Azure/DNS
  • AWS and automation tools (desirable for future development)
  • AWS Security (WAF, SGS, DNS, site to site VPN)
  • Linux

· Proactive, collaborative, and eager to develop towards 2nd line and specialist roles.
