Solution Architect

The IT Solution Architect is responsible for leading pre-sales technical engagements with customers. The role develops solution designs and proposals, facilitates customer discovery and solution workshops, and provides technical leadership and guidance to Responsiv's technical team., * Develop and deliver solution demonstrations, technical workshops, and customer presentations.

• Engage with senior customer stakeholders to discuss architectures, solution options, and technical trade-offs.
• Produce high-quality solution architectures, including documentation, diagrams, assumptions, risks, and implementation approaches.
• Lead the technical shaping of bids and proposals, ensuring solutions are deliverable, commercially aligned, and meet customer requirements.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across client engagements, supporting solution definition through to transition into delivery.
• Work closely with Sales to provide technical insight, product knowledge, and consultative support to progress opportunities.
• Apply knowledge of IBM technologies, Microsoft Azure, AI, and open-source platforms to develop appropriate solutions and support opportunity growth.
• Collaborate with the Head of Consulting to shape solutions, presentations, bids, and proposals for combined software and consulting services.

• Minimum 10 years' experience developing software solutions for medium to large organisations in a consulting or principal capacity.
• Demonstrable experience delivering practical and innovative solutions, underpinned by architectural principles and design standards.
• Proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels, including CIOs, CTOs, solution architects, and delivery teams.
• Strong pre-sales capability, including solution shaping, customer presentations, and applying a consultative and commercial approach to opportunities.
• Strong research, design, and communication skills, with experience producing architectures, technical documentation, proposals, and thought leadership content.
• Ability to present confidently, influence decision-making, and lead technical discussions.
• Experience taking ownership of key technical decisions and supporting problem resolution.
• Commitment to quality through effective documentation, testing approaches, and delivery standards.
