Job description
As a Data Engineer with a focus on AI and Snowflake, you will design, implement, and operate data products that enable advanced analytics and AI-driven use cases across Heraeus. Acting as a technical expert and internal consultant, you will work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and AI engineers to translate business needs into scalable, high-quality data products on Snowflake., * Design, develop, and implement data products on Snowflake, from concept to production
- Build and operate scalable Snowflake-based data pipelines for analytics and AI use cases
- Develop and optimize data models and transformations using SQL, Snowflake features, and ELT frameworks
- Act as a consulting partner for business units, translating business and analytical requirements into data product designs
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and AI engineers across domains
- Ensure data quality, performance, security, and compliance in line with governance standards
- Support the full lifecycle of data products, including monitoring, optimization, and continuous improvement

Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, * Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a comparable qualification
- 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related role
- Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake, ideally in building data products
- Strong skills in SQL and Python; experience with Coalesce or similar tools is a plus
- Experience in consultative roles with close interaction with business stakeholders
- Experience in Project Management
- Ability to structure requirements and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Structured, ownership-driven, and solution-oriented working style
- Very good English skills, German is an advantage
