Job description
- Maintain, enhance, and optimize existing COBOL applications running on mainframe environments.
- Develop and extend Java-based applications, including integration layers and backend services.
- Participate in the migration or modernization of legacy COBOL systems using Java and related technologies.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of applications through code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Requirements
- Experience in COBOL development (mainframe environment preferred).
- Solid knowledge of Java (Java 8 or higher), including object-oriented programming and backend development.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle, SQL).
- Ability to understand and maintain complex existing codebases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and structured working style.
- Good communication skills in German (Minimum B2) and English.
