Job description

We are looking for a Mobile eveloper for our Mobile Tribe to build our new messaging app. As Mobile Tribe, we design and develop user-friendly and cool apps for healthcare professionals who work on the go. Think of nurses who want to register or report something directly at the bedside, or carers who want to communicate with their team in real time. As a Mobile Developer, you will be jointly responsible for the mobile landscape of Nedap Healthcare. You will work with other tribes to create a consistent mobile experience for tens of thousands of users. You will help build a completely new messaging app: one of the three strategic mobile apps we are fully committed to. A messaging app that makes collaboration in healthcare smarter and more human.

Your responsibilities

  • Technical decisions: Contributing ideas about technical choices, UX, and making our mobile apps smarter.
  • Developing impactful apps: You won't be building individual features, but working structurally on apps with impact.
  • Innovation: Contributing and exploring new ideas (e.g. around Kotlin Multiplatform or web technologies).
  • Modern mobile architecture: Working with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Firebase and unidirectional architectures., As a Mobile Developer, you will be part of the Mobile Tribe, a passionate and international team of mobile developers (Android/iOS/Hybrid) and UX designers within Nedap Healthcare who want to promote the adoption and development of mobile workflows within Nedap in Healthcare and the healthcare sector. They are supported in this by mobile UX designers. It is an international team and the working language is English. You will also work closely with other teams within the Healthcare Business Unit.

Requirements

Do you have experience in iOS?, As a Mobile Developer, you enjoy actively contributing ideas about product, design and development. You feel responsible for creating impactful, high-quality apps. You work proactively and pragmatically, taking ownership and moving ideas forward with an entrepreneurial mindset. Being innovative and trying out new things or making improvements is what gives you energy. You are an effective communicator who knows how to align with colleagues across disciplines and with stakeholders both inside and outside the team. You are comfortable working in a distributed environment, keeping oversight while switching easily between topics. With a critical yet constructive approach, you help the team make thoughtful decisions and deliver high-quality results.

In addition, you recognise yourself in the following:

  • Work experience: You at least three years of experience with building Android apps.
  • Knowledge of the Android SDK and modern libraries. You are not afraid of older APIs.
  • Technical curiosity: You closely follow developments such as Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Language skills: You are fluent in English and it is an advantage if you are also fluent in Dutch.

The salary range for this role is between € 3.800 and € 5.000 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours) and depends on relevant knowledge and experience. Good to know: You are available for 32-38 hours per week. Hybrid (remote) working is common at Nedap, and you and your team can coordinate your working hours to achieve a good work-life balance.
