Job description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support across multiple sites. You will be responsible for resolving user issues, managing service requests, and supporting the day-to-day operation of our IT environment. This is a field-based role, so a car and valid UK driving licence are essential., * Provide first-line and basic second-line support in a telephony-based helpdesk environment.

  • Log, diagnose and resolve ICT incidents, problems and service requests.
  • Support users with Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 11, Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019.
  • Perform printer administration and troubleshooting, including connecting users to network printers and resolving print issues.
  • Carry out basic account management tasks, such as creating new user accounts, modifying access, and processing account changes.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior technicians where appropriate.
  • Travel to sites as required to deliver hands-on support.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a helpdesk or customer support role, directly resolving ICT issues via phone or service desk systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience with printer configuration, troubleshooting and network printer setup.
  • Experience with basic user account administration (Active Directory or similar).
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
