Job description

Senior Integration Architect - Geneva - 860 CHF

If you've spent years designing integration strategies that actually work across cloud and on-prem, Legacy and modern systems, this role will feel very familiar in the best way.

We're looking for a Senior Integration Architect to shape and own enterprise-wide integration architecture for a large, complex organisation with a genuinely mixed technology landscape.

This is a hands-on architecture role with real influence. You will be working on strategy, standards, roadmaps, and delivery, not just diagrams that never leave PowerPoint.

Why this role is worth your attention

You'll sit at the centre of integration decision-making, working closely with enterprise architecture leadership while guiding multiple delivery teams. The focus is on scalable, secure, and future-proof integration, using modern API-first and cloud-native patterns, while still dealing intelligently with on-prem realities.

This is a role for someone who enjoys setting direction, not just following it.

What you'll be doing day to day

  • Designing and evolving the enterprise-wide integration strategy across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Leading the architecture of API-driven integration solutions, from concept through delivery
  • Producing clear, practical architecture proposals, blueprints, and integration roadmaps
  • Defining and promoting integration patterns and standards used across multiple teams
  • Supporting non-compliant or Legacy integrations and guiding them back into alignment
  • Advising on API security, data protection, encryption, and secure data transfer
  • Working closely with developers, business analysts, security teams, and enterprise architects
  • Contributing to the wider Architectural Solutions Group under the Lead of Enterprise Architecture

What you'll bring

This role is written for a senior integration professional, not someone early in their architecture journey.

  • 7 to 10+ years in enterprise IT, with 5+ years designing and delivering integration architecture
  • Deep experience with API design, lifecycle management, and API platforms
  • Strong background in hybrid integration across cloud and on-prem
  • Hands-on knowledge of middleware, ETL and data integration, and modern enterprise patterns
  • Experience designing for availability, scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance
  • Solid understanding of load balancing, auto-scaling, and cloud-native integration
  • Comfortable producing detailed technical documentation such as blueprints, data flows, and API specifications
  • Able to translate business processes into robust integration designs
  • Confident communicator who can influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluent English

Nice to have, but not deal-breakers

  • Cloud certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Integration Cloud
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for integration
  • Formal exposure to Enterprise Integration Patterns and API governance

The setup

  • Role: Senior Integration Architect
  • Location: Onsite - Geneva
  • Duration: Long-term contract (6 months minimum
  • Start: ASAP preferred
