Job description

  • Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines from multiple sources, ensuring high standards of data quality, availability, and performance.
  • Lead the end-to-end ingestion of financial datasets, including long and short position holdings data, as well as derived datasets.
  • Analyze internal data processes to identify inefficiencies and propose and implement technical improvements and innovative workflow solutions.
  • Define and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for raw and enriched data, aligned with FAIR data principles.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Product, and other key teams to align data strategy with business objectives.
  • Contribute to defining the data and technology roadmap, ensuring fit-for-purpose data products.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spark?, Must have:

6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in complex corporate environments; experience in banking or financial services is highly valued.

Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark (PySpark).

Strong experience designing and implementing high-volume, low-latency ETL pipelines.

Solid understanding of data modeling principles (conceptual, logical, and physical).

Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms.

Proven knowledge of financial products, particularly Treasury Products (FX, derivatives, onshore and offshore trade products, offshore loans).

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience with banking systems architecture.
  • Participation in technology projects within the banking sector.
  • Experience in data process automation and data governance initiatives.
  • Knowledge of data alignment strategies and data product design.
