Job description

LSEG is seeking a motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our Analytics Center of Excellence in Paris on a 12-month fixed-term contract (CDD). In this role, you will lead the development of the first versions of private company analytics and sustainable finance, demonstrating our Python-based platform integrated with LLM on Azure. You will work with diverse datasets, including private market data, to build innovative models and analytics that support strategic insights and business growth. If you have a passion for private markets, data science innovation, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact., * Design, develop, and deploy initial versions of analytics models focused on private companies and sustainable finance using Python and SQL.

  • Present analytical findings and insights clearly to technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science processes and platform capabilities.

Requirements

Do you have a Doctoral degree?, * Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably with 3+ years in finance or insurance sector.

  • Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
  • Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and familiarity with ML/LLM tools.
  • Strong Experience with machine learning in Python, SQL, Pandas, Numpy, Scikit Learn, Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Fluency in English; French language skills are a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of financial markets, private equity, venture capital, or related sectors.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and model deployment standard processes.
  • MSc or PhD or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
